OFC Players Of The Week – Week 7

Offensive Player
Daniel Mailloux, QB – Windsor Fratmen
In a battle for first place in the OFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs, Daniel Mailloux led a second half comeback on the road against the defending OFC champs. Mailloux completed 23 of 41 passes for 351 yards and 2 touchdowns. Mailloux also carried the ball 5 times for 14 yards.

Defensive Player
Isaiah Joseph, DL – Hamilton Hurricanes
Despite the loss against the Windsor AKO Fratmen, Isaiah Joseph was a defensive force that limited the Fratmen rushing attack to only 59 yards. Joseph had 7 solo tackles and more importantly forced 3 fumbles all of which were recovered by his defensive teammates. Joseph also batted down 1 pass.

Special Teams Player
Harvey Mafuta, Kick Returner – GTA Grizzlies
In quite possibly one of the most impressive individual performances in CJFL history Harvey Mafuta literally did not come off the field as he spectacularly made plays in all three facets of the game. In a tight contest on the road Mafuta constantly put his team’s offense in good field position as he returned 5 punts (long of 54 yards), 2 kickoffs and 1 missed field goal for a total of 195 yards. While on defence, Mafuta contributed 7 tackles, 1 batted ball and returned 2 interceptions for 41 total yards. Mafuta also had 4 touches on offence for 26 yards.
